This is What Community Looks Like!
This 4th of July season, Chatham Alliance was able to experience first hand what community building looks like. Whether cooking and distributing meals or baking and packing cookies, offering a smile and even sometimes a prayer, volunteers came together to show our care and love through our service to one another.
The girls youth group from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came out to bake over 200 cookies to share with the community!
Children from Pittsboro Presbyterian Church’s Sunday School, youth from First United Methodist Church, Siler City, and families from Legacy at Jordan Lake made Love notes.
A family from the Chatham Community Church came out to build cookie gifts!
Members of the Chatham Alliance Board of Directors cooked a meal for the Salvation Army Summer Palooza Fundraiser.
Teams from all over the county harvested, cooked and served food in the heat of the summer. When we work together and share the load, we build a more connected and united community.
