Community Harvest raises money and sources food products from local suppliers to produce and distribute frozen meals to neighbors in need with support from Equiti Foods, maker of Good Bowls, and the local foodie group Pittsboro EATS!

  • Produce is locally sourced and purchased with the proceeds of quarterly Community Harvest fundraising campaigns.

  • Chicken and other proteins are donated by local suppliers, including Mountaire Farms in Siler City.

  • Recipes are based on the Mediterranean diet and developed in consultation with Dr. Alice Ammerman, UNC professor of nutrition and founder of Equiti Foods.

  • Meals are prepared and packaged in local commercial kitchens by Chatham Alliance volunteers.

  • Chatham Community Harvest proudly donates these meals for distribution through Communities in Schools of Chatham County, CORA Food Pantry, Feed Well Fridges, and Chatham Chuckwagon.

Will you help us feed our neighbors?

Whether you choose to support one of our quarterly campaigns or make an unscheduled donation, your gift will make it possible for us to help in the fight against food insecurity in our county. To make a donation, visit our Giving page.

Fall 2026 Campaign

The Community Harvest Fall fundraising campaign will run October 15-31. Our goal is to raise $2,500 so we can make at least 600 tasty and nutritious meals for Chatham County neighbors in need.

For every $5 you donate, you’ll get a chance to win a gift card to one of these local restaurants:

The Beagle ($100)

Hoops Pizzeria ($75)

Ni Armor’s Hawaiian & Polynesian BBQ ($50)

Sippers Cafe & Bakery ($25)

After the money is raised, we’ll need volunteers to help us prep, cook, pack, and clean up on November 15-17! Sign up for a shift here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040B4EAAA929ABFE3-66723050-fall
